It tastes like...pickles.I'm a sun tea jar snob.
I don't like the jars with the little spigget on them.
It just gets moldy and stained.
And drips all over.
So, I got a pickle jar.
And, yes, I washed it.
Threw lots of baking soda in it.
Then let it soak for a long time.
No more smell.
I thought I was safe.
Silly me.

That's what you get for being a jar snob. :)
I tried to use a pickle jar to store some bulk corn meal a friend gave me. Same thing washed it, soaked it, let it air out forever. What did I get...corn meal that smelled like pickles.
For the record I hate sun tea jars too, if you find something that works let me know.
