Fingerprint Friday

Sometimes you just have to talk about your kids.
Fingerpring Friday is a perfect day to do that.
Because what greater fingerprint of God is there than kids?
Afterall, we were created in His image.

Gen. 1:27
So God created man in His own image,
in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them.

Jake loves to smile.
When someone makes a comment to me about Jake,
they almost always talk about how he's always smiling.

Jake is pretty bright.
He just completed third grade yesterday,
but for the past 9 weeks or so had been going to a 4th grade classroom for math.

This is an e-mail I received a day or two ago from that 4th grade teacher:

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I have enjoyed having Jake in our classroom for math. He comes every morning with a big smile and jumps right in. When we do things that he hasn't learned, he stays right with us and picks up concepts at an amazing speed. I love his attitude and the way he is obviously excited about learning. I think he is a very, very special boy and am glad I had a chance to work with him. Keep up the terrific work you do with parenting and loving him. He is a blessing!

Yes, he is!
She made me tear-up.
Love this boy to pieces. Each week pamperingbeki hosts Fingerprint Fridays and uses a song by Steven Curtis Chapman as a springboard. Join in if you can. It's a great way to be reminded of God's goodness.

I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God
So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?

That is just one of the many reasons why you are a stay-at-home mom, Gina! =) I think it is wonderful that the teacher praised you as well!

Ok, that is a special teacher, too, for taking the time to recognize your son for his good qualities and to encourage you! It's moments like these that make all the blood, sweat & tears worth it!
