Fingerprint Friday

I've been thinking about God's love this week.

I was in the middle of making supper.
It had been a busy day.
Jobie had not had a nap.
He was sitting on a stool watching me.
He looked like he was about to fall asleep.
So I picked him up.
He laid his head on my shoulder.
I took a break.
Sat down with him.
He fell asleep almost immediately.
It's been awhile since he's gone to sleep in my arms.
As I was looking at him,
I thought my heart could burst with love.
And I began thinking about God's love.
How He loves me more than that even.
How He sent His Son for me.
How a perfect God could love a sinner.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates
His own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world
that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish
but have eternal life.

Each week pamperingbeki hosts Fingerprint Friday and uses a song by Steven Curtis Chapman as a springboard. Join in. It's a great way to be reminded of God's presence.

What a little darling. When they sleep you really can see the Angels
touch.
Happy Fingerprint Friday.

how sweet! It is an example of love in that you were willing to take the break and sit down with your son instead of just putting him down on his own. Happy Weekend!

It really does make your heart burst when they fall asleep in your arms, because the know they are SAFE and LOVED, they are at peace. I liked what you said about God loves...it is so true...life gets so crazy sometimes and I just want to curl up on God's lap just like that!

How sweet and how wonderful that you could take the time to hold him and think about love.

Beautiful! It always amazes me, too, when I compare God's love to how much I love my children . . and then know that God loves us even more than that!

They grow up so fast, and those moments of them still and sleeping in our arms is so precious! What a great fingerprint!

That is such a great post...I seriously think that same thing every single nite as I am rocking Landrey to sleep. I always say a prayer with/for her and I say the same thing to God---you must LOVE me so much I cannot even fathom b/c I know just how much I LOVE landrey!!

Thanks for those words!!
