Fingerprint Friday

Both of my grandmas have been gone for quite a few years now.
One over 11 years.
The other over 6 years.
I miss them.

They both liked geraniums.
I never appreciated them that much.
I thought they were stinky.
Well...they are.
But this year I planted several.
In honor of them.
All summer they struggled to survive.
I could not get them to bloom.

But suddenly, this fall flowers are popping out.
They are beautiful.
And I love them.I am thanking God today.
For small reminders.
Through His nature.
Of two wonderful grandmas.

Phillipians 1:3
I thank my God every time I remember you.

Each week Beki at therustedchain hosts Fingerprint Friday and uses a song by Steven Curtis Chapman as a springboard. Join in. It's a great way to be reminded of God's presence.

I never cared for the flower either..but they sure do look beautiful..I even had some in a basket this year..was happy with the results..You know to me, this is an "old fashion" flower..My mom, her mother always had them too..
Happy Fingerprint Friday.

I love geraniums...especially red ones...but I'm kind of an old fashioned "girl" in some ways. They are hardy and do manage to survive in the hardest times, even though they may not bloom when we want them to. I bought one this year for the first time in quite a while...the garden centers here have not had them in the last few years. Yours is very beautiful and it's always a blessing to be reminded of our sweet grandmothers ...I miss mine too! My grandmother with the green thumb loved hydrangeas and geraniums and begonias ...all those good old fashioned flowers! ♥ Blessings! Vicki
